The Equinox is exciting and beautiful no matter what time of year you’re staying. They offer dozens of adventures, like the Land Rover Driving School, which takes you off-roading while teaching you the basics of expedition-style driving. You can learn skills for driving in terrains such as steep ascents and descents, side-tilts, log and water crossings, rock crawls, and boulders. How fun is that?!
While on vacation, you can also experience falconry, fly fishing, a shooting range, boating, a climbing wall, golf and tennis, and most people’s favorite, a hike with Jay and Cooper, 2 four-legged guides. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, and walking and jogging trails are all also easily accessible from the resort. When winter rolls around, you can find other guests and families enjoying downhill skiing and snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, ice skating, tubing, dog sled rides, and snowmobile tours.
The spa onsite offers massages, facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures (offered for kids and teens as well), aromatherapy, and reflexology. There are fitness classes and a 24-hour fitness center open to guests.
There are various dining experiences onsite including The Chop House, Marsh Tavern, Falcon Bar, and Dormy Grill. The Chop House is more of a fine dining experience, while the Marsh Tavern offers drinks and bites. The Falcon Bar offers 50 varieties of wine & single-malt scotches, and the Dormy Grill specializes in cocktails and light snacks.

KILLINGTON GRAND RESORT
As Killington’s only full-service mountainside hotel, the Killington Grand Resort is a great way to spend a family vacation. There are 1,2 and 3-bedroom suites, as well as classic hotel rooms and studios. All accommodations feature bathroom amenities, fresh linens and daily maid service, along with rollaway beds, if needed.
If you’re more of an outdoor family, Killington Grand Resort also offers camping!
Killington is known for its skiing and snowboarding, but in the warmer months, Killington becomes a mountain bikers’ haven, with a bike park on-site. You can also go hiking, play golf, or visit Woodward. At Woodward, you and the family can challenge yourselves on different courses or challenge yourself to the “best terrain park in the East” while skiing or snowboarding. There are ATV tours, live music during the summer months, and swimming. You can also sign your kids up for summer camps, including Little Explorers (Age 4-5), Junior Explorers (Age 6-7), Active Explorers (Age 8-9), And The Rek & Trek Adventure Camp.
Killington Grand offers several spa services if you need to take a break from all the adventure at the resort. The spa offers different massage therapies, including for kids and teens!
After all the activities you participate in, you’ll need to fuel up. Onsite you can find multiple dining establishments including Preston’s, Clubhouse Grill, Peak Lodge, Snowshed Foodcourt, Bistro Food Truck, Subie Shack, Snowshed Umbrella Bar, and the Grand Cafe.
FIELD GUIDE LODGE
Field Guide Lodge offers various room types and sizes, as well as suites and ADA-approved rooms. Rooms are either set in “The Lodge” or the “Trail House.” Amenities include bath amenities from Lather, Tivoli radios with Bluetooth and USB charging outlets, 40″ LED Smart TVs with Apple TV, in-room refrigerators, waffle kimono robes, and complimentary daily housekeeping services.
On-site you can find a guest lounge with a crackling fireplace, vintage games, and lots of hanging-out space, a seasonally heated pool and hot tub, a fire pit area near the pool, Vermont craft beer, California wines, Kombucha, and teas, as well as snacks — like popcorn and pretzels.
Of course, skiing and snowboarding are one of the top activities to take part in when you’re staying at Field Guide Lodge, but you can also go dog sledding, snowmobiling, ice skating, snow tubing, sledding, and more. As the snow melts, you can go hiking, biking, kayaking or paddle boarding, swimming, and shopping.

TRAPP FAMILY LODGE
The Trapp Family Lodge is an Austrian-inspired luxury mountain resort set in the heart of Vermont. There are nearly 100 rooms and suites in the Main Lodge, 18 Villas, and 100 Guest House chalets that can perfectly accommodate a family of any size, including families who like to travel with their furry family members.
